I’ve obtained the green belt -obi- last Thursday. My exam was some kihon followed by Heian Godan kata and just a minute of kumite. I’m a bit dissapointed, since I’ve obtained just 7 points on 10, while on orange belt exam I got 9 on 10.

This is the kata I’m currently working on. It’s rather long and has some complex movements for me. It’s a very advanced kata for an orange belt. I just need to known til Heian Godan for the next “upgrade” to green belt.

I’ve started today with Tekki Shodan kata. It seems not difficult, as there’s just a movement a bit complicated. The kata seems to be quite short, and the second part is the first one “mirrored”.

Last friday I started to train Heian Godan, this is the last Heian kata. Afther this, we’ll pass to Tekki Shodan. But now, it’s still time to learn Heian Godan with sensei Kanazawa:

Yesterday I did get my yellow belt. I’ve obtained 9 of 10 on the exam. I did Heian Shodan, Heian Nidan, Heian Sandan and Heian Yondan. I had some minor problems with Nidan and Sandan, because I’m not used to do it in front of so many people.

Yesterday at 12.30 UTC a paraglider crashed on Gijón and its pilot died about a half an hour later due his injuries. The point is that I started to learn paragliding about two years ago, but I left it mainly because I’ve no money to buy the expensive equipment required.
