Andi Hug has been one of the bests kyokushin karate fighters in the known history. He started on karate when it was pretty young, just 10 years old. He won 37 of the 47 combats he fighted, 22 of them by knockout, including his last but one combat with Nobu Hayasi on K-1 Spirits 2000, on July 7. But he lost the last combat with Leukemia just a few weeks later, in August 24, 2000. Even his great courage could not defeat that enemy.

I’ve found a lot of compilations of some of his bests combats on youtube, and I’ve choosen this one to publish it here. Enjoy!

P.S. I’ve edited this entry to change Andy by Andi. That’s because while a lot of people call him “Andy”, I’ve seen that at least on his firsts fights with his karategi, he has written in his back “Andi” with “i” instead of “y”.
